You hear about it first.
Watched websites are checked for reachability and changes. An outage is tied to the customer and can open a ticket – minutes, not the Monday phone call.
What gets watched
-
01
Uptime
Reachability of the sites you run for customers. The alert arrives before the complaint.
-
02
Changes
Notable changes stay visible. You compare what changed instead of guessing.
-
03
Tied to the customer
Every watched site hangs on the customer file. The ticket knows who owns the page.
-
04
Status in the customer center
Incidents can appear as a status update in the portal. The customer sees the state without calling.
The 15 questions people ask about this module first.
How often is a site checked?
Watched sites are checked continuously for availability, not only after someone calls.
Only my own site, or customer projects too?
Both. Each site hangs on the customer file, including when the customer is you.
How am I notified?
You get the outage notice. A ticket can be opened for the right customer.
Does the customer see the outage?
As a status in the customer centre, when you show it there.
Uptime only, or changes too?
Availability and clear changes. You compare what changed.
What about short blips?
A single blip should not become a false alarm at once. The course stays visible.
Several domains?
Yes. Each domain belongs to a customer, not to an anonymous list.
SSL and reachability?
It checks whether the site answers. An expired certificate shows up as a failed response.
Does it replace a large monitoring subscription?
For the sites you look after yourself, yes. It is not data-centre monitoring of someone else’s infrastructure.
Does it fit if I only have one site?
Yes. One site, one alert, optionally a ticket to yourself.
Data in the EU?
Yes. The check and the link live in the ERP, not at a US status service.
Can I see earlier outages?
Yes. The history stays on the watched site.
Do I need tickets for this?
No. The notice also arrives without the ticket module. The ticket is the step when someone has to work the fault.
The same for a UG and an ApS?
Yes. The legal form does not change how a site is watched.
What does the module cost?
€9 a month.
